The KABR series are range of Metal clad resistors most suited for braking applications. These resistors are economical and compact. This series resistors offer excellent load life stability. Power dissipation of up to 1000W is available in this series.
Non Inductive types available.
Termination style can be UL Approved Cables or Flat terminals for screw fixing.
Vertical mounting arrangements possible.
Thermal cutout can be provided on request.

The KCBR is a high stability Dynamic Braking Resistor series, designed to suit inverter drives of various makes. A wide range of resistance values are available in 0.5kW to 12kW Braking Resistors. The specially designed Helical Coil type resistor elements are used for high efficiency and faster cooling.
Medium to High resistance values with high overload capacity.
IP20 rated Stainless Steel enclosure with separate terminals compartment.
Easy to install and use - base or wall mountable.

The KSAH series are range of Metal clad resistors suited for braking applications. This series apart from providing high energy handling capacity with respect to its size, comes in handy for limited space applications due to its profile thickness. This series resistors offer excellent load life stability. Power dissipation of up to 500W is available in this series.

Braking resistors are an essential component in a Drive system. During deceleration, the motor starts behaving like a generator. This excess energy has to be dissipated to avoid any damage to the drive due to overvoltage.
The ideal way would be to feed the excess energy back to the grid, but in most cases, the excess energy may not be worthwhile to set a system to safely feed this back to the grid. Instead, the extra energy is converted into heat using a chopper and a dynamic braking resistor.
