Frequently asked questions

What Are Braking Resistors?

Braking resistors help in slowing down or stopping a motor. when doing so there is a considerable amount of excess voltage that is generated by the decelerating motor. during the process of dissipating and its working, the braking resistor removes power from the motor, as a result, the load is reduced causing it to turn at a faster rate. motor here behaves as a generator, creating electrical energy that flows back into the power circuit.

Braking Resistors from KWK come with varied resistance, power and current ratings. KWK Resistors also require very little service and maintenance.
