Axial Lead / Through Hole

Overview

AXIAL Leaded Through Hole Resistors

Through-hole resistors have long, pliable leads emerging out of the body axially, in parallel with the part's longest axis. The leads can be stuck into a breadboard, or hand-soldered into a prototyping board or printed circuit board (PCB). Read More

A form of carbon powder is mixed with an insulating material and a paste/resin to create a solid inner core of the resistor along the conductive path. More carbon, lower the resistance. To protect the core, a plastic shell is often placed around it, and two thin wire terminals are attached to each end.

They have a wide range of variability, with the same package sizeable to accommodate an impedance of less than 1 ohm up through 10s of millions.

Lead through resistors find application in:

  • Electronic components
  • PCBs

Why KWK Axial Leaded Through Hole Resistors?

KWK has a partnership with KRAH group, Germany and the Widap Group, Switzerland who are market leaders in the automotive and industry segment respectively.

KWK offers resistors with diverse construction and mounting options to suit customer specific requirements.

All our products are ROHS (Restriction of the Use of certain Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment) compliant.
